Hello, My name is David Cheesbrough.
I was Born in England and grew up in the Yorkshire Dales. I attended Aberdeen University in Scotland, before returning to Yorkshire.
Before I found Christ my life was directionless and without purpose. I began driving 18 Wheelers (Trucks/Lorries) across Britain and Europe, before moving to the USA to do the same. I met and married Cindy in 2000 and two weeks after our marriage I met the Lord Jesus for the first time. Since then my life has been dedicated to His Service.
In 2002 I heard the call to ministry, and we moved from our Home in Bartlesville OK to Joplin MO where I was to attend Ozark Christian College. Five years later I graduated with a BBL and Psychology double Major.
I had difficulty finding my place in the world, but KNEW that God had a plan for me. I was spending my years in the wilderness, maturing and deepening my faith and dependence on the Lord. And now? The call has come.
In Port au Prince Haiti is a small Bible School that is in dire need of my broad range of skills. They need an Administrator with the Drive to get things done, but with the subtlty that comes from working with people not against them.
I have deep knowledge of computers and have the ability to teach the subject to anyone who wishes to learn; I understand the depths of the Meat of our Christian faith and feel that I can teach our students well; I am a reasonable Preacher and can lead the flock to the truth that is the Word of God; I have a knowledge of Audio Systems and Radio Broadcasting; I sing, play musical instruments and can tell a funny story – though it might take a while for many to get my dry sense of humor; I am a native English speaker which is a blessing for an English speaking Bible college; I am married to the most competent office manager I have ever known… and most of all I am a most unworthy, yet most beloved child of the Lord of all Creation.
The countdown to opening day is on: my work is cut out for me. I am excited to get on with the task.
